Barbara Greenwell

Barbara Greenwell taught at Seminole State for over 38 years, teaching first GED to migrant workers, then ESOL, then teaching math before becoming a biology professor and eventually biology department chair. She was Honors director twice for a total of 9 years. Her hobbies include scuba diving, painting, jewelry making and dressing thousands of teddy bears for Salvation Army. After climbing Mt. Kilimanjaro in 1999, Africa became her favorite travel destination.

Harold M. Bacchus

Harold M. Bacchus is a licensed and practicing attorney since 2009, and Bacchus practices in the areas of immigration law, family law, criminal defense, and personal Injury. He formerly served on the board of Meals on Wheels in Sanford, Florida.

Minnie JohnsoN-PHILIPS

Minnie Johnson-Phillips is a former professor of sociology and Chair of the Social Sciences/Education Department at Seminole State College in Sanford, Florida.  She has 35 years of experience encouraging students and helping them achieve their educational goals; and ten years of experience managing a department of 78 full and part-time faculty.  Since retirement, she has spent time working in the community in various capacities (e.g. tutoring elementary school students, volunteering, and maintaining memberships in various services organizations).  Minnie has strong enthusiasm and energy for making a difference in her community through service to others.

Debra Mueller

Debra Mueller is a retired business owner. A ‘born and raised’ Floridian, she is married to Randy Mueller and the mother of three amazing children with seven grandchildren. She and her husband owned and operated a successful business for 33 years in DeLand, FL. She has served on many non-profit boards of directors while volunteering with numerous charitable community entities supporting children, educational institutions, women and local businesses. Her heart is full of hope that the KMA Foundation will bring a better future to the precious people of Africa.

Dr. Baboucar Jobe

Dr. Baboucar Jobe is the Dean of Social Sciences, Education, Early Childhood, and Education Preparatory Institute at Seminole State College of Florida in Sanford.  He has been a professor of sociology and anthropology at Seminole State College of Florida for over 21 years, and teaches Africana studies at Stetson University in Deland, Florida.  Dr. Jobe believes that it is the “duty of the people that are fortunate to help and support the others that are vulnerable.”  Dr. Jobe is a native of The Gambia, West Africa and has a deep love and care for the people.

Dr. Ghazzal Khurshid

Dr. Ghazzal Khurshid is a Board Certified Internist in Orange City, Florida. He is affiliated with Central Florida Regional Hospital and Florida Hospital Fish Memorial. He has been in practice for over 30 years, and he is very dedicated to helping his community.
